Our community has a new Farmers Market Pavilion thanks to the collaborative efforts of the business, government and education sectors.
Today, a ribbon was cut at the Benton Partnership Farm to Fork Pavilion that will be open for local vendors to sell their locally raised produce and handmade crafts.
The Marshall County School District, specifically the Technical Center, has worked with Benton Partnership over the last several years to help put on the annual Farm to Fork
Dinner to recognize local farmers and benefit student scholarships. The Benton Partnership awards those scholarships to MCTC students representing Agriculture/FFA, Culinary/FCCLA, and Media Arts programs for the roles they play in helping to make the dinner possible.
The pavilion, located at 717 Poplar Street in Benton, will be open on Saturdays from May-October from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm.
